The Nexus team today joined partner KB Home for the launch of the "Double ZeroHouse" project in Lancaster, California.
Double ZeroHouse showcases the latest in energy and water saving technologies and achieves both net zero energy use and zero potable use for landscape irrigation.
Importantly, this is the first production home to feature a practical, onsite water recycling system - the NEXtreater.
Using Nexus technology, coupled with watersense appliances, Double ZeroHouse uses about 150,000 gallons less water than a typical production home. When occupied by a family of four, the home will produce up to 40,000 gallons of recycled grey water every year — more than enough to water the landscape.
